Payment of Rent: A deposit of one third of the rental cost is payable on booking. The balance of the rental cost plus any linen charges and a security deposit of £100 is payable six weeks prior to arrival. Cheques should be made payable to 'C Craib'. Non-payment of the balance by the due date can be treated as a cancellation.
Linen and Towels: These can be hired at an additional charge of £5 per person per week.
Security Deposit: A security deposit of £100 is payable with the balance of the rental. This will be returned following an inspection, subject to the property being left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition (as you would like to find it) and there being no significant damage to the property or fittings.
Arrival and Departure: The rental commences at 4pm on the day of arrival and terminates at 10am on the day of departure. The day of arrival and departure will be a Saturday unless agreed otherwise.
Occupancy: The property sleeps up to 11 adults and one baby. Occupancy should not exceed this number without prior agreement.
Dogs: Up to two dogs may be allowed by prior agreement at a cost of £10 each. They should be kept under strict control and should not be allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Any fouling in the garden should removed prior to departure.
Electricity and Water: Electricity and water costs are included in the rent. However, you are asked to use these facilities wisely. The storage heaters and the water heater are operated on a tele-switch by Hydro-Electric. The water may require to be boosted in the afternoon at full occupancy. Do not dry clothing on the heaters.
Smoking: For the comfort of other guests we ask that you do not smoke within the house or conservatory. Please confine smoking to the garden.
Cancellation: Every effort will be made to re-let the property on cancellation. If the property is re-let then the rent paid will be refunded less any re-letting costs. Otherwise the whole rent paid shall be forfeit.
Insurance: The property and contents are insured against fire and theft. However, you are advised to take out your own holiday insurance to cover personal effects and cancellation costs.
Non-Availability: In the unlikely event that the property becomes unavailable for any reason the owners' liability is limited to the amount of any rent paid.
